On-the-job training was fun! I was able to build on the foundation I learned in the classroom. I was still getting a huge amount of information, but now I had time to build, break, and learn how to troubleshoot systems in AWS.
My team has played a key role in my success. They were patient and firm during my OJT, which allowed me to grow. There were times when I felt like I didn't know if this career was right for me, but my team (my supervisor and my colleagues) were always there for me.
They encouraged me to keep going - and look where I am now! What does learning look like during classroom sessions? In order to pass the classroom training, I needed to absorb a large amount of information in a short period of time.
